Across the globe, one special week is set aside each year to celebrate our heroes of housekeeping. From September 13 to 19, Airline Hotels gave special recognition to those associates who work tirelessly behind-the-scenes at our 9 hotels across Canada. Here’s how each hotel celebrated:
Four Points By Sheraton Edmonton South department managers, including our GM, took turns spoiling our Housekeeping team with tokens of appreciation all week long including: fresh waffles and whip cream, fresh pastries, cheesecake, ice cream treats, frosty’s and gourmet chocolates. The department hosted a pot luck luncheon to wrap up the week on Friday afternoon – what fun!

Country Inn & Suites Winnipeg hid fake money in rooms for associates to find, in return for real money. We also gave them lottery tickets for achieving the “best rooms.” Pizza lunch and cake was served, and the girls also got for a gift was lunch containers.
Country Inn & Suites Regina associates received certificates, gifts and flowers, as well as a picnic table for the enjoyment of associates that like to go outside on their breaks.

Travelodge Saskatoon associates enjoyed lunches and snacks every day throughout the week!
Valhalla Inn Thunder Bay associates received Smile Cookies from Tim Horton’s and a Complimentary Drink coupon from We Proudly Brew Starbucks.
Hilton Garden Inn Saskatoon kicked off the celebration on Saturday with pizza lunch and games. There was lots of laughter and everyone really enjoyed having lunch together. Throughout the week, associates received candy bags, cookies, certificates, flowers, hotdogs and lunch boxes. It was a jam packed week of excitement and recognition for our wonderful Housekeeping team.
Travelodge Edmonton West associates were treated all week with fun, food and surprises from each department. The staff room was decorated by our Sales Manager, Alyson Mitchell, then associates received a special treat each day: 1st day was muffins and coffee from the Front Desk.

Country Inn & Suites Saskatoon associates were appreciated with various activities. They played games, received chocolates from the Executive Housekeeper, and certificates. They were each given a lunch kit and had a lunch celebration on the last day with the Regional General Manager and Senior Manager. They had loads of fun thanking associates in their housekeeping department!
