Recognition Day Celebrates 9 Associates in Saskatoon

June 18, 2015

Airline Hotels is proud to have over 900 associates that choose to work at our nine hotels across Canada. Each year, we honour one role model at each hotel that has gone above and beyond the call of duty and exemplifies the RITE Values: Respect, Integrity, Teamwork & Entrepreneurship. The prestigious Associate of the Year award is announced at the hotel Christmas parties and the winner receives a gift of $1,000. The following spring, Airline Hotels also honours these Associates of the Year with a special trip to Saskatoon, SK where the company was founded in 1972 and head office now resides.

Associates are our heart, Guests are our purpose and Success is our reward.

“We believe very strongly that our Associates are our heart. We have so many great associates across our company and we are always thankful.” –Dan Folk & Jaret Waddell, COO’s

The Associate of the Year Day on June 18, 2015 treated those associates to a ROCKSTAR experience! They were flown to Saskatoon, picked up from the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Saskatoon by a limo, then had a full day of pampering. They received their choice of a salon service or archery class, lunch at the Red Zone Premium Sports Bar, a tour of the Airline Hotels head office, drinks and desserts at the Spadina Freehouse, then a tour of beautiful Saskatoon with a Prairie Lily Riverboat Cruise.

“This day gives us an opportunity to say thanks to the Associate of the Year from each property and celebrate their successes. It is very important to us to take some time and focus on their amazing contributions and let them know how much they mean to Airline Hotels. “ -Dan Folk & Jaret Waddell, COO’s

The day finished off with a family-style Italian dinner with our President, Betty Anne Latrace-Henderson at the Hilton Garden Inn.

“Recognizing associates who go above and beyond for guests as well as other associates is so important to me,” says Betty Anne. “It is my way of helping to say thank-you and show my appreciation for all this group of talented caring individuals do.”

The AOY’s also received a welcome swag bag with an Airline jacket, sunglasses and a pen, snacks and beverages, and a special caricature of each person’s face done by Randy the Caricaturist.
